Steve's Garage
Steve spends the first twelve episodes teaching the tools how to minimize their hurtful interactions. The last eight episodes are spent helping Andrew learn it is better to try and learn rather than do nothing in order to avoid a mistake. Eventually, everyone learns strong people ask for help and those who don’t ask for help are proving they are weak. Studies have shown that 9-year-olds are intrinsically motivated to achieve a reward, while 10-year-olds are extrinsically motivated to avoid punishment. The reason for this change is due to bullying, which results in the child’s loss of creativity. The goal of Steve’s Garage is to help 9-year-olds learn tools that will help them defend themselves from bullying as well as be able to help others in hopes the child can retain their creativity and mental health.
